Standardisasi Produksi Agroindustri Hasil Hutan Bukan Kayu (HHBK) Masyarakat Sekitar Kawasan Hutan Sesaot di Kecamatan Narmada Kabupaten Lombok Barat

Abstract

Abstract: Management and utilization of forest areas does not only focus on environmental conservation, but also on socio-economic aspects. The potential of non-timber forest products (NTFPs) around the Sesaot forest area can be developed through a value-added process by business actors who currently do not all have a home industry production permit (PIRT). This activity to facilitate standardization of agroindustry products has been carried out for 13 (thirteen) business actors, both groups and individuals. A series of activities carried out include identification of activity targets, coordination with related agencies, and facilitation of standardization of processed products including assistance for PIRT submissions. Based on the results of the activity implementation, it can be concluded as follows: (1) The implementation of the activity has been going well and smoothly, (2) This activity has improved the cognitive and affective aspects of the participants as evidenced by the fulfillment of the requirements for the issuance of PIRT, (3) This activity has become a vehicle for the dissemination of research results of University of Mataram to the user community, (4) dynamic and complementary relationships between universities and the community as well as other related parties need to be developed continuously. Based on the results of the activity implementation, some suggestions are given as follows: (1) micro and small business cctors can utilize the acquired knowledge and skills to better manage their business to improve their economic welfare, (2) participants can meet all the requirements needed for the issuance of PIRT, (3) this facilitation activity can be carried out sustainably with the halal certification process for products after obtaining PIRT.

Abstrak: Pengelolaan dan pemanfaatan kawasan hutan tidak hanya fokus pada pelestarian lingkungan, tetapi juga harus memerhatikan sosial ekonomi. Potensi hasil hutan bukan kayu (HHBK) di sekitar kawasan hutan Sesaot bisa dikembangkan melalui proses nilai tambah oleh  pelaku usaha yang saat ini belum semuanya memiliki ijin produksi industri rumahtangga (PIRT). Kegiatan fasilitasi standardisasi produk olahan HHBK ini telah dilaksanakan di desa Sesaot Kecamatan Narmada Kabupaten Lombok Barat terhadap 13 (tiga belas) pelaku usaha baik kelompok maupun perseorangan. Serangkaian kegiatan yang dilakukan meliputi identifikasi sasaran kegiatan, koordinasi dengan dinas terkait, dan fasilitasi standarisasi produk olahan termasuk pendampingan pengajuan PIRT. Berdasarkan hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan dapat disimpulkan sebagai berikut: (1) Pelaksanaan Kegiatan telah berlangsung dengan baik dan lancar, (2) Kegiatan ini telah meningkatkan aspek kognitif dan afektif dari peserta terbukti dengan adanya pemenuhan syarat-syarat untuk diterbitkan PIRT, (3) Kegiatan ini telah menjadi wahana desiminasi hasil penelitian di universitas Mataram kepada masyarakat pengguna, (4) hubungan yang dinamis dan saling mengisi antara perguruan tinggi dan masyarakat serta pihak-pihak terkait lainnya perlu dikembangkan terus. Berdasarkan hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan maka diberikan beberapa saran sebagai berikut: (1) Pelaku Usaha Mikro dan Kecil (UMK) dapat memanfaatkan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan yang diperoleh untuk mengelola usaha dengan lebih baik untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan ekonomi mereka, (2) Kepada peserta fasilitasi yaitu pengelola UMK dapat memenuhi semua persyaratan yang dibutuhkan untuk penerbitan PIRT, (3) dalam kaitan dengan kegiatan fasilitasi ini bisa dilanjutkan dengan proses sertifikasi halal bagi produk-produk yang telah memperoleh PIRT.
